Your Pit Bull Safety Cover® should glide from one end of the pit to the other.
If your Pit Bull Safety Cover® is not gliding freely, you should check and make sure there is no debris inside the c-channel.
Always make sure your channel and T-bolts are greased. PNC recommends using a spray graphite, which can be purchased at a local hardware store.
PNC recommends using a bleach-free soap and hot water to clean your pit safety cover
- Such as Dawn Dishwashing Liquid or Woolite Laundry Detergent
- These products are mild detergents that will disinfect and wash, while not harming your safety cover
-
- With a medium size stiff brush, apply soap and water over your pit safety cover and scrub
- Rinse thoroughly
Cornstarch or baby talc can be used to remove stubborn grease stains
- Brush off loose dirt, cover the stain with cornstarch or baby talc, and leave on the grease spot overnight
- Then brush off the cornstarch or baby talc
- Most, if not all of the stains should disappear. However, if it is necessary, repeat the process again
For a deep clean you can remove your Pit Bull Safety Cover® from the channel and take it to your nearest car wash
- Use the foaming brush or high power washer to clean your pit safety cover
- You may use the same process to clean your ‘No-Step’ labels
